Psychotherapy is an integral part of all therapy sessions. It assists in the assessment of symptoms and underlying causes. This enables the selection of the best therapies for you, tailored and delivered in a way that provides you with the most effective long-term results.
A common concern for people who are new to hypnotherapy and analytical hypnotherapy is that they will lose control when under hypnosis. However, hypnosis is simply a very relaxed mental state, often very much like day dreaming, where your subconscious mind is open to positive suggestions.
Most people under hypnosis, although very relaxed, are fully aware of their surroundings and no one can be made to do anything under hypnosis that they would not consciously want to do.
With the aid of suggestion and analytical hypnotherapy, the core reason for your need of therapy can be identified and help provided.
NLP has also been shown to be a very effective tool as it goes way beyond basic therapy techniques.
The term was invented by Dr Richard Bandler in the 1970s
The Collins English dictionary entry for NLP describes it as "a therapy designed to alter behaviour by reprogramming unconscious patterns of thought".
Working with your subconscious enables me to help you to change or remove your unwanted behaviours, feelings and emotions by changing your deeply established habits and beliefs in a positive way allowing you to achieve your desired goal.
There are many different techniques that come under the NLP umbrella and they can be used for a wide variety of symptoms, including all those listed on the Treatable Conditions page.
EFT began in the 1980s and is a combination of techniques by American psychologists, Roger Callaghan and Gary Craig. It came to the UK in the 1990s and is an effective therapy used by millions of people worldwide.
It is a technique that will allow you and I to connect with your subconscious mind. The therapy requires you to tap on certain points of the face and body, while repeating statements tailored just for you and your presenting problem(s) e.g. anger, self-harming, motivation, presentation nerves etc.
I have found that EFT can make a significant positive difference to a client’s thoughts, emotions and health in a surprisingly short period of time.
There are different Mindfulness techniques and uses, it is a form of meditation that can be used anytime and anywhere.
